BIA Group with its registered office in Solingen, Germany, is one of leading suppliers of chrome-plated plastic components for the automotive industry. BIA’s customers include almost all European as well as several Japanese car manufacturers.
Since 2014 BIA is active on the Chinese Market. In 2016 BIA Group founded a new production plant in Wuxi, which is operated as a joint venture together with Beijing WKW, a leader in metal and plastic parts for the automotive industry. Wuxi BIA supplies its products mainly to the Chinese market.
In the fiscal year of 2020, Wuxi BIA employed approximately 300
employees and has become a reliable partner in the automobile manufacturing
industry with a series of most advanced manufacturing processes based on years
of experience in chromium plating.
Technology
BIA covers the entire manufacturing value chain of its components, from the design data to the delivery of goods to its customers. Wuxi BIA is focused on three main processes: plastic injection molding, galvanization and final inspection. An overview of the entire production range can be found here.
Plastic Injection Molding
Using the latest injection molding machines, we produce raw parts according to the specifications requested by our customers. We can meet almost every customer requirement, from the production of simple one-part components to complex multi-part solutions, from small interior part to big exterior parts, using a variety of plastic materials.
Galvanization
Chrome-plating of raw parts takes place on two fully automated galvanizing lines, adhering to the latest procedures and environmental requirements.
Around 3,000 sq.m. of surface per day are plated with a safe and reliable plating process for customers such as Mercedes Benz, Audi, BMW, Volkswagen, Tesla, Renault, etc., and creatively uses different processes, such as micro cracks, Chrome(III), Chrome(VI), Dark Chrome, and lasering technology.
Final Inspection
The final 100 % visual inspection is provided by BIA’s specially trained personnel and it is considered exemplary in the industry. The final inspection at the Wuxi BIA is carried out in compliance with the high standards of BIA Group and requirements of the automotive industry.
